 Magic: The Gathering

A recent hobby I have gotten into is a table top TCG called Magic: The Gathering. This game played by two people and uses cards collected out of random packs. The objective of the game is to bring your opponents life from 20 to zero before they do that to you. This is done by taking the role of people called "plains walkers" (basically a kind of wizard) and playing certain cards such as creatures, sorcery, instants, or enchantments that represents spells. The game has been around since the early 90's and has blown up to have many world wide tournaments where people compete for titles and large cash prizes. The current tournament going on right now is called the "Theros Pro Tour."

My Music Career

I have been a musician since I was in the 4th grade. Since then I have learned upwards of 14 different instruments from trumpet to drums and guitar. Back when I was in high-school, I was apart of a few different bands and groups, the most successful one being a band called "Sunday Best." We evolved from a punk/classic rock group called CaseClosed and moved to be an Americana ambient band. over the course of a few years we went on a few small tours across the Southeast and recorded in a few well known studios such as RCA studio B in Nashville, TN. 

After we broke up, I moved to become an audio engineer at local churches in my area and continue to play and use my musical talents to this day. No matter what course life takes me, I know music will always remain a part of it.

My Job Aspirations

          Currently I am attending school at the University of North Georgia and am enrolled in their business school at the Mike Cottrell College of Business seeking a degree in management. After I graduate I hope to get a career in Project Management. I think I would be suited for this career path because I have a long history of being a leader in many organizations in and outside officially sanctioned organizations. To further elaborate on my goals, I would love to lead teams in completing projects in the gaming industry, be that computer/video gaming in the online industry or leading projects with table top companies. I have an extensive background in gaming and would like to pair it with the degree I am working towards.
